The motifs for the pediment sculpture were first assembled from sketches in Photoshop, but the most important step was to make a clay model to scale. This allowed us to determine how much projection would be needed to allow a good view from close to the building, and to establish the best jointing arrangement for the individual stones. I also explored two different arrangements of the foliage.
