The Meadows: Imagine this...
A large scale architectural inscription: the total length was more than 50m of stone at 30cm high, set into walls around a new housing development at Framwellgate Moor near Durham by Miller Homes.
The verse was written by local poet and author Carolyn Jesse-Cook, whom I consulted frequently during the setting out to ensure that the sense of the poem was maintained as far as possible despite the necessary breaks.
